Rode to Trinity Kingdom

By cTrix on December 23, 2012 6:44 pm

Day one of holiday at parents = up until 5:45am making this 2nd last Weekly Beats tune!
.

Something a bit slower and chill this week.  Made using an old acoustic guitar Jam (Nylon with missing strings!)  Was about to hit delete on the file but I liked the vibe - it had a random vocal line and bass with it, so I decided to see where it took me.   The only synth I have with me (I'm on holiday) is the tiny Yamaha QY70 - so that does the Rhodes and cheesy synth.  Also some great disco strings from an old Korg Trinity I sampled earlier in the year and hadn't used yet.    About 8 hours in total and there is still a TON I'd do to this.
.
Sorry about the mixing (on cheap earbuds).  I think I'll revisit this in the future, but hopefully you'll enjoy it as is.

Smoooooooooooooth.

Got a big warm sound to the mix. Like that bass and drum groove. Super chill and some big sounds. Love the strings.

*crawls out of bed*  Thanks guys :-)   A few things I'd change on this - amazing how perception changes so much after sleeping hey :-P  Xmas shopping here we go...  Once again Weekly Beats #1 priority!

This sounds freakin' awesome mang. Really cool stuff.

Yeah this is badass dude. Really reaaaallly like it.

This is rather lovely. The guitars sound so warm. and the percussion and the synths are all suit it well. Love it particularity when the strings come in.
