Piano Noodle #1

By cTrix on April 8, 2012 3:00 pm

I'm on holiday at my parents house for Easter - and they are currently looking after an entry level Roland digi-piano for the choir they sing in.  WIN! So the digi and my lil Yamaha pockettrack recorder = quick / easy piano improv.  A few edits to fix mistakes as I'm kinda outta practice at the mo ;-)  Otherwise it's just me noodling around and hiding behind the sustain pedal after a couple of glases of red!

Very Debussy-like. Would you be able to write a transcription of this?

Nicely done. That recorder sounds quite nice, too!

Getting back to basics renders great results!!
Noticing a bit of that these holidays.

Very relaxing : ) ..and not a tad jealous at your skills on piano.

Damn.

Beautiful... I wish i was out of practice like you smile

what a beast

amazing. i hope the #1 implies there will be more of this somewhere in your future songs

You are all far to kind!

Nope. I can't read music. (it's why I went and studied programming and not music!)

The Yamaha C24 is amazing. It's tiny and only has a mini-jack in, but does a solid 96khz/16bit recording with a lot of warmth. :-)

It's my emergency fall back when I don't have time to record something more layered.  It's great actually because I don't feel creatively burnt out like I have for the past two weeks.  Better get to work on next weeks tune ;-)

jammin

beautiful smile  also, kinda hilarious that you studied programming instead of music wink

^^ even more hilarious I ended up in film & doco production combined with being a script writer / producer for corporate safety induction packages! (and love it)

Oh. Well, I could probably transcribe it myself, then.

bravo

You bastard.

You utter bastard.

This is absolutely fantastic. And that just isn't fair! What about those of us who do study music and still couldn't come up with anything half this good in 10x the amount of time! As always, an awesome track...

Bravo!!!1! that was spectacular and i do hope you perform more of these piano noodles in the near future.

So cool! Great Improvisation!

Gorgeously classy, I feel a little seduced. ha
