Noizey Boi (NES 2A03)

By cTrix on April 24, 2016 6:23 pm

A plain 5 channel 2A03 track for the NES.  The only thing on the DPCM is a single snare hit thoughout.  Runs natively on a PAL NES (stock) as a binary.

Work in progress (really) as far as technique.  Because of the way I'm pitching the noise, I've got a constantly re-tuning set of pulse waves to try and match.  So the whole thing is a bit dischordant / chorusy!   Neh.  Fun times!

Good piece of electro!

This reminds me of some years ago making tunes in LSDJ. Fire track! heart

welcome to the f u t u r e

downloaded this, going to be my new work out track

Super dig the discordant/noisy stuff (as if nobody could guess that from what I've been submitting lately...), even if it wasn't intentional. The rising chord-y progression right before the drop (when things got slightly less noisy-- power of contrast!) was my favorite part.

This one sounds really strong, and the whole (mismatched) chord gives it a really unique vibe. Not so discordant to my ears, at all. It's like you make a proper chord and add some unidentifiable effect that takes the whole track to another level smile

RAD!!!! And danceable as hell

Hot!

Doing things the 'intended way' as per usual!
That noise channel is mind-blowing

how is this possible

inspiring technique! makes me want to run some experiments of my own big_smile

Strong functional Dancetrack smile

This is officially my favorite track this week.

8 bit NIN.  Man, you can make any bit of gear groove and you made chiptune super musical at the same time.  Nice work!
