Javascript Synth 22kb

By cTrix on February 9, 2014 1:49 pm

11kb of JavaScript in an index.html file containing the tune data with an additional 11kb of linked synth lib code.  Pre-renders in the browser to "virtual" uncompressed PCM file via blob.js .  Might not work in some older browsers :-P

Too many libraries to credit, so just view source if you want all of that!  websynth.ctrix.net   Please note it might take up to 30 seconds to render depending on the speed of your CPU.  (might take a few mins on a mobile, if it even works! lol)  Originally rushed for syntax demoparty last year, but now finally finished.  Oh, and an MP3 of the tune too ;-)

Greets to ferris, marcus and my demoscene members in DA & 68kruË (bring on 2014!)

JavaScript never sounded so good

love those arpeggiated chords at the end. this is great.

Ish teh schekhsch!

68krü for president of 2014!

so good!

haha awesome!  you didn't handcode the note data itself, did you?  did you start it in a tracker and then convert the note data or something?

I have absolutely no idea no understanding of what's mentioned in the description, so I'm just going to say: Good job big_smile

this is awesome man! great sounds, and the fact that this is javascript just blows my mind.

I don't understand at all, haha. But the tune is cool. I like the simple visualization that accompanies the browser render. Neat stuff!

this is awesome man! typical cTrix riffs, love it

yea you lost me with the javascript stuff but thats cuz I can't code my way out of a paper bag (whatever that means!)  But I really like the melodies in this and part of it reminded me of an old school Orbital track.  Groovy track smile

Javascript what? How? This is unbelievable! big_smile
Nice tune though, you definitely should start a new genre called "Browser House"

So cool. Dank, man.

Awesome, awesome work.  As a JS-monkey by day, I get it.  Well done, and a great tune, as well!

Thanks :-)  I'm glad some people get the coding side of this.  It's all about the fact it's self generating in a browser...

impressive as fuck yikes
