Blip 'n' Derp

By cTrix on May 22, 2012 12:00 am

Greetings from Blip Fest 2012!

This is my tune which I've written on numerous train trips / flights / and at Blip it's self.  Big thanks to the guys on the merch table for letting me use the hot spot today and letting me hide in the corner during a few acts yesterday in order to get this finished ;-)   LSDJ on single Gameboy - played in one live take into Yamaha Pocketrack recorder!!  Basic mastering in Reaper.  Title comes from the fact I made it using a Drag n Derp cart into a OLED backlit DMG in a Kitchbent white custom case (with prosound).  Can't believe the stops a few key people pulled to get this unit delivered to me at Blip.

ps. It gets more fun / chordal later on!!

The dude goes to NYC and spends the week partying around yet he still delivers a track for Weeklybeats! big_smile

I kinda secretly hoped you'd make a collab track with Monodeer for this week tongue

DAMN my Bomi sample! xD

Haha those are the samples I made into a cart for Monodeer to remix my track. Now I feel like this is a collab xD

fuuuucking sick.  wish i could have been at blip this year!

That rocks! Glad to meet you in person and looking forward to see you performing live this evening. I think you should play this one by the way (extra bonus if you give a shout to Weeklybeaters in the audience, I'll make sure to shout back ;-)

love the dissonance wink

yo i saw you on saturday but i was buying some stuff from the thursdaycustoms table and by the time i finished you'd disappeared hahaha. were you there for the whole show? it was sick (other than neutral kREW, they kind of freaked me out)

this track is sick btw, as per usual

That modulation at the end of solo is nothing short of fantastic!

Blippy!

hehehe Parallelis:  Yeah, I was down behind the Thursday desk during colon-krew.  Not that they don't put on a "good show", but it's not really my thing.

YES! Finally get to hear more than a few bars at a time! BRILLIANT!!!!

OLED backlight???  SICK track too!
