Bass Fracker

By cTrix on November 11, 2012 4:49 pm

Beats.  Deep sine waves.  Fridge compressors.  Microwaves.  Guitars.  Analoge synth smooth minor chord stabs.

Another tune along the vibe of last week.  It's just what I naturally sit down and write at the mo.

Required: Headphones or speakers that have bass else it'll just be a beat with nothing else!!

Got the spaghetti western riffs!

Awesome man. That bass is ridiculously deep.

coooool

holy shit that SUUUUUBBBB!!!!!!!!!! this feels natural with the variations, sparse melodic elements, (well placed moans) and that outro.. so good

Ahhh hahaha!  I'd forgotten about that moan - it was literally dropped in for lols in the wave editor (it's not in the actual mix) when I was mastering it.

yesss. massive beats!

more chillness wink the sub comes across just fine on my mediocre monitors.. probably wouldn't on NS10s
I love your use of the phrygian stuff.. and the microwave door adds a lot wink

so legit

excellent lounge!! so nice beats and bass!! awesome work, as always!! smile

awesome. love the slidey guitar sounds

cTrix, you madman!!!

Amazing track, fantastic sounds (that guitar is awesome). The low end came across amazingly in the car on the way to work yesterday!

Yaaa, this one is amazing hip hop beat smile Don't wanna try to use some chip samples? I will try to make up some abstract tunes with gb samples again. Don't think that i will make beats on same level as you, but i will try. Also, do you use ableton?

Wow.  Thanks for feedback so far!  ...  Balloonbear - no, I don't use Ableton.  I can use it but I find it very uninspiring and grid locked.  I use Reaper.  In this case with snapping turned off because the beat drifts around and the timing is always more organic when you position parts by ear.  The sine bass is sampled from a function generator (HP 3300A), the chord from Seq Circuits though Moog filter, the metallic things I think were from a Korg MS-10 - the rest is just samples or playing guitar :-)

this is good

love it, reminds me of 90s leftfield, could picture this in something like "Hackers" smile
