Psychic Pet Grooming

By Cosmic Cairns on January 19, 2022 11:48 pm

There's a shopping center near my house in which there is both a psychic and a pet groomer.  There's a big sign on the street that lists everything that's in the shopping center and the way it's arranged, "Psychic" is right above "Pet Grooming" so every time I see it I read it as if they're all one shop that offers Psychic Pet Grooming.  This struck me as a good title, so I decided to use it.

I still feel like I'm warming up a little this year.  This is just a few synth lines I was playing around with and then I added some razors on top to fit the title's theme.  I think next week I might try to do something with vocals.  If I feel up to it.

What a great story to lead into this track... The razor just clicked on and I'm dying. hahahaha. You got me. big_smile

The name and track are both pretty evocative, I dig it! smile

Haha, its reminds me of the Simpsons where they take Santas Little Helper to the pet shop and talk to the "psychic" clerk who's pretending to read his thoughts like "not happy in life, need imported Italian leather leash."

Cool track this week though, love the instrumentation.  Especially the razor solo.

LOL

just......

LOL

I love the title of the track too... Is it the sample of a clipper at 1 min?

Psychic pet will be tidy! smile

Fun track!

Well I've found a new soothing song to listen to when I psychically groom my pets. I'm doing it right now ... I am actually looking a huge furry cat sprawled out on the couch.
Love this title, great story. Sounds like the mall has everything one could want. This was really pleasant nice track. The razors, LOL!!

Once I settled on the title, I knew the razor was a must.

Thanks!  I couldn't resist using that title and it was fun to try to match something to it.

I guess that South Park episode really is true.  Simpsons did it!

Fun track!

Yeah, it kicks in at about the 1 minute mark and then it's all by itself at the very end.

After I laid down the synths I felt like it just needed a little something more and the razors fit the theme so it was a bit of a no-brainer.  Thanks for listening!

Probably time to start thinking about finally starting that psychic pet grooming business.

This is lots of fun! smile

I will write that title in my big book of "fantastic band names". This track melody has something magical, with the barrel organ like sound. Is that a rain staff mid point? (a veryyyyy large one considering the duration).

since i have no physical pets do you thing they might offer psychic pet grooming for psychic pets?

fun piece

I hear it's a lucrative business opportunity.

No rain staffs on this.  That's probably the razors.

I think they'd be losing a lot of business if they didn't offer services for all pets across the psychic spectrum.

Ha... picture please! Sometime I meet a friend at this cafe that is across the street from a Chinese restaurant that shares a space with a pet shelter. The pet shelter has a big sign that says "Non-Surgical Neutering" really big sign with no other explanation.  The whole scene seems to dominate our conversations as we imaging what goes on over there.  But I'll tell you this.  I won't partake in the take out or neutering.

Fun track. It has a bit of a carnival feel or even a synth renaissance faire vibe. Maybe it's the brass.  The clippers are a nice touch.  I assume they are operated by some form of ESP or psychokinetic means.

I imagine there's a medium that sits in the back with their hands folded and eyes closed while clippers move seemingly on their own through the air.

Pulchritudinous

This is short and epic and those clippers tickle my ears! Yes!

Thanks for teaching me a new word!  That's a heck of an adjective.

The clippers were the piece de resistance.  It didn't feel finished until I added them.

Woah it's been awhile since I got a buzzcut!  I liked the pace of this.  It kinda reminded me of the Raising Arizona theme.  Like it was an opening to a story like that smile

Now I've got to refresh my memory on what the Raising Arizona theme sounds like.  Love that movie but it's been a while since I've seen it.

They should merge and make it a thing

It makes a lot of sense to me.
