Practically Indestructible

By Cosmic Cairns on November 30, 2022 9:04 pm

I was originally intending to do a vocal driven track this week, but just as I was getting ready to dive into it, I got unexpectedly called into work.  By the time I got back to it, I'd sort of lost my inspiration/idea so I came up with this instead.

everything is nicely dancing around in this track.

This kind of second best is really good, I love this.

I like the gif.  It does seem to match the feeling of the track.

Sometimes it actually works out okay when things don't go as planned.

water is practically indestructible big_smile and this track sparkles and flows like that

superfun

I like how the bass really pops and the watery guitar tone fits the mix nicely.  Cool build at the end too.

Oh yais the sound of the guitar is really cool.  Nice effects throughout on it.  The beat has a cool sort of hard rock feel to it but the slick bass and keys keep it mellow too.  Nice distortion on the guitar towards the end!

Lots of great guitar textures and drive. Got elements of The Cure. I like the moody intensity and constant building.

There did end up being a water-like quality to it.  And it is mighty hard to destroy water.

The bass felt like an important element to this one.  Not that bass is ever unimportant, but it did feel like it needed to pop.

Thanks!  It ended up being fun assembling the different elements on  this one.

I've been using a virtual drum kit on a lot of my tracks this year.  Nothing's as good as a real drummer, but I've been pretty happy with it.

I've been a bit absent from the social side of WeeklyBeats for a while, just trying to keep up with making the music, but I'm really enjoying coming back and listening to some of your tunes again. I agree, the drums sound pretty good. Love that line that comes in 30 seconds or so. A very cool post-punk new wave kind of sound here, shades of Joy Division and Mogwai in some ways as well, super nice.

Thanks for coming back to check out a few of my songs.  It's always interesting to hear comparisons to other bands.  Seems like this one touches on a few classic bands.
