Born On Leap Day

By Cosmic Cairns on March 3, 2016 1:40 am

I wasn't actually born on leap day.  I wasn't even born in a leap year, but having a leap day this week made me think about how weird it must be to be a leap day baby.  I knocked out this short and simple little song comprised of acoustic guitar, vocals, and a little bit of percussion courtesy of a couple empty water bottles.

"doot doot doot doot!" tongue Song is a lot of fun, made me smile smile

I had a child hood friend that born on a leap day. Nice ditty, dude! I really like those backing vox towards the end.

Thanks.  I wanted to do something simple and catchy this week.  Those backing vocals were actually a last minute addition.  I was pretty much done and then I thought it needed something else, so I threw them in and I think they're my favorite part of the song.

Great work -- background "UFO" vocals especially.

Thanks!  Backing vocals are "unsung" heroes of songs.  Except, of course, for the fact that by definition they're sung.
