Ketamine Dream

By coreytrev0r on March 8, 2020 9:20 pm

I've been receiving ketamine infusions to help treat my depression.  It's a wild ride.  In this track I tried to capture some of the aspects of my ketamine infusions.  It all starts with the ketamine dripping into my IV.  The ketamine trip lasts about 3 hours for me and I go through a huge range of emotions, distortions, and hallucinations.  I tried to boil all that down to this couple minute track.

This track is probably best experienced on headphones.

the vocals are very interesting and fit perfectly. they kind of remind me of WHY? and I love the glitchy lead so much. awesome work.

I can't even imagine the wild ride of one of these infusions.  This track alone is a trip to listen to, and I'm barely on anything right now...  I'd like to hear another one of these, because this music as an interpretation for your experience is a really different insight outside of just discussing what we have in the past about it.  A whole strew of emotions are heard throughout this. love you bud. depressions a mfer.

Holy shit, this is wild dude.  I think this wins the most unique I've heard on WB so far, and I love how there are no repeating parts.  I've never tried ketamine but I feel like this gives a pretty good insight into what to expect.  I hope its helping with your depression man, it definitely seems like its helping with your art at the very least.

This feels like a dream state, I have not done ketamine but this track has the same feeling as when you are dreaming and you get hyper aware of something, for it to morph into a completely different concept. The guitar at the end has some of the prettiest tones I've heard in a while, takes me back to my teenage years when I listened to a lot of grunge.

Ohhh a WHY? comparison, I like it.  That glitchy lead was due to FL Studio's Love Philter, some mad distortion, and some automation on the panning and volume.  Thanks brotha

Thank you all for the compliments.  I'm glad it conveyed at least a little bit of what I go through during the ketamine infusions.  @demonzor: building on this will definitely be in my future, that's a good idea.

Holy hell this is nuts. What a gnarly style portrayal and absolute great production. F yes dude, this is great.

oh boy this would be some trippy shit to listen too off the shit! Very nice dude! love your music!

Thanks for the compliments, boys!  I'm glad you liked it; I put a lot of time and effort into this one.

Aahh this is so cool. That was a pretty ambitious idea to take on but you nailed it. The little vox segments are great, they add to that disorientation quite nicely.

Thank you!  It was definitely ambitious but once I started it kinda just flowed through me.  Gotta love it when that happens

Trippy. Sounds like it's working though.

Thanks, man appreciate it

Miss that last week, damn you are good man. The liberty you took with the panning electric guitar is great. Hope you feel better, life is rough man, live is rough. Take it easy.

Thank you!  Really glad you liked it, I kinda went out on a limb with this one.  And yeah I had fun manually messing with the panning and volume cut-outs on the distorted guitar.  Thanks for the kind words, too.  The ketamine infusions definitely help.
