Jordan, i never quantized the keys, i'm sorry

I did a contest revolving around the number 7. This is in 7/8 and at 77 bpm. The fun part is the 7 layers of synth I built and modulated between. I used an XY pad to control the volumes of different layers and modulated blended between them, creating a weird evolving synth. Also my friend played some keyboard for the midi and he told me to quantize it but I never did.

The choral sound that blends in and out makes everything sound pretty cinematic and badass, although not as badass as that kick holy cow.  I like how ambitious the 7 idea is.  Sometimes I could keep the count in 7 and sometimes I couldn't.  Maybe it's because it's 7/8 and I'm more used to 7/4?

Beautifully relaxed and defiant for 7/8(i’d expect an off-kilter feel, but you made it feel organic… to nice effect!).. the mix is juicy thick, too, so much to digest so much remains interesting. Great track!
(Note to Jordan: when someone puts “i’m sorry” in the title of the track, they’re not actually ‘sorry’, muahahahaha! lol great playing, no quantization necessary big_smile)
