Soft myths

Another noisy one, but quiet-ish? Not in terms of volume, but mood.

Ample use of Fairfield 20% More, which finds its way onto the Pulsar-23 bass synth and some half-hidden guitar. Other bass synth feature: Fairfield Conflict of Interest modulating the tuning at audio rates for some abrasive FM tones.

I actually tried using the Pulsar less this time; I've been feeling like I'm making my drums too busy lately so I tried pulling back. Relatively minimal everything else: the bleep synth is a very simple Prophet patch arpeggiating or playing through the notes of a Cm7 chord, the chorus pad is three notes on the Alpha Juno, some small hihats from the Digitakt, and... that's pretty much it.

My audio interface decided to start dying as I tried to mix down the track, adding a shrill wail onto everything that makes me think it has a dying capacitor. Fortunately I was able to mix down into my field recorder, but this makes another in the list of "equipment that needs replacement/fixing". I'll have to take a look at it when I've got an opportunity/get to buying all the new things I've already decided I need to get.

There are some really nice swells. Bobbing my head along.
