James of Theseus

By Continuous Nonlinearities on April 19, 2026 11:47 pm

My plan is to live until I am 320. There are strategic challenges to this, and after a certain point may require replacement of parts. At what point does this James stop being this James and become someone else? Is it moot with cellular replacement anyway? What kind of cool/lame slang with the Generation Epsilon kids have?

Pulsar-23 for drums and bass, Prophet 6 for lead bleeps, Alpha Juno for pads, and a little Digitakt for accessory bits and sequencing. A bunch of things run through Kinotone Ribbons in post, mostly for filtering-as-eq. I think this one could've probably used another week to iron out some wrinkles but it goes as it goes.

I look forward to 320 James, and the weird collection of parts that make the whole of Theseus James. There's a lovely pad wobbling away in back and I love it, oh and then you let it be free. So great.  Super fun and fits the Theseus theme.
