In proximity

More of a loop with some live chords and sparkles over it than a song proper, but that was what I had in me this week. I do like this loop; I just didn't particularly do much "composing". I was feeling frustrated due to unrelated matters as I was working and just decided this was as much as I was ready to do.

Flute-esque sound is a staccato Prophet 6 tone with a modulated attack which I was enjoying. Drums are a combination of Digitakt II and Pulsar 23 as per usual; I like having two bass drum tones play against each other. Pads are done by a layer of ESQ-1 and a newcomer: I got an OG Digitone! I was lusting after some better FM capability than my Volca FM/DX27, both of which are fine but just not exceptionally accessible, whereas the Elektron workflow is pretty good for me. Truth be told I had been eyeing the Leviasynth as an FM beast for a while, but that is very pricey! and I have already spent a lot on music gear this year, so really it's like I saved $3000 by getting the Digitone (though I need to play with it more and decide if I'm good with the original or I want to upgrade to the II). The wooden marimba-esque clinks are also Digitone.

And you still got across the finish line, and I hadn't read what you wrote and was like "oooo bubbles"
