Beyond the squirrel barrier

What started as another ambient soundscape attempt got quickly derailed and who knows what it is now.

I got a couple new pedals, the Old Blood Noise Endeavors Dark Star and Parting, both of which lent themselves well to the soundscapey when I first started playing around with them. I am unsure why I am having difficulty translating that into my intent. I definitely got distracted with drums.

Edited down from an initial jam, I think I might've edited too short tbh, but it felt like a good place to start in the recording, which might've been a bit too directionless/repetitive otherwise. Maybe one day I'll be happy with everything all at once.

Equipment-wise, I'm also in a bit of a struggle, in that my archaic multitrack recorder is not working well and needs replacement, but replacement has not happened yet. I'm trying alternatives but they're not comfortable yet.

Like the big bassy whirling and what not. Very chill and cyberpunk goth.
