This is so laid back and dreamy. It has a very nostalgic quality to it. Like an old family VHS recording of a trip somewhere warm
Really cool track! The repitching is so nicely done and helps keep it fresh and interesting.

Thank you
Yeah, I feel like it's an effect that makes this tune sound better than it has the right to be
Since this effort, I've discovered ways to manipulate the mechanics of the tape machine to get even more exaugurated warbles both in pitch and volumes.
What a feel good track. Well done.
Thanks

Thank you! My newly acquired tape machine has a speed dial, and of course I couldn't keep my hands off it. The slowest speed is the original recording.
Reminds me of late night tape experiments in the 00's.
Back in the day, I never had a 4-track machine, and try to do something like this with modifying normal tape deck – which never quite worked. Now I'm very happy to have one. Here I did the whole production on it. Interesting process, and good to get some less screen time, but it also made me realize how powerful a DAW really is.
Serene, very relaxing.
Thanks
