This is the first time that I ended up futzing around with the song later in the day. The DAW version is here: https://soundcloud.com/schlauchmilch/who-is-right-daw-mix
I think the song was complete when I uploaded it. I just remixed it after submission. Um, right?
That's a sad tale. It's interesting because being a geek/gamer I've known people who are similar to the fellow in the tale. Their online persona is well known and respected. In real life though, they are pretty much just shut-ins living on meager incomes, and not taking care of themselves at all. They rely on the fake social interaction to fill the void in their lives and throw themselves into it. Really sad.
Enjoyed this though. Liked the feel of the guitar and vocals. Also liked the contrasting ideas of the reality and fantasy of what happened to your neighbor.

Thanks, I'm happy to hear you made it through the whole song :-) Looking back on it, there are a couple of other aspects I maybe should have mentioned. I meant to include some reference to the fact that "I've never seen the body." So in a way, social "reality" may be just as constructed as the online one. I don't do a lot of online gaming, but for example, I don't really interact with other musicians, so I guess I can relate to a degree... plus I find the whole otaku thing fascinating. The other idea I had was, what if I move into that apartment and start "taking over" his identity? That's my little indie movie idea right there :-)
