hey

I'm not entirely sure about where lyrics come from or what they mean most of the time. They're kinda like dreams to me - I "have them" or write them down, but it's only a vague conscious connection.

I'm guessing this one is a little bit about my son who is having some difficulties at home and school, as well as about weeklybeats coming to an end. A weird mixture, but I blame the same (presumably subcortical) instance that remixes our days into dreams.

[HEY]
wohin laufen unsere tage
ich versteh das nicht mehr
hörst du überhaupt wenn ich sage
hey
ich versteh das nicht mehr

und ich rede und rede und rede
ich denke und meditier
aber gut
ist es bloß dann
wenn ich still sein kann (wenn ich still sein kann)

[HEY]
where are our days going
i don't understand this
are you even listening when i say
hey
i don't understand this

and i'm talking and talking and talking
thinking and meditating
but it's only
good
when i can be quiet (when i can be quiet)

Man, I really loved this. For real

Are you planning to give it more development. It is really catchy (and I finally could get some of the lyrics in german)

Catching up with all your stuff. Can't believe it's week 48!!!

This is great. I agree, it should be longer.

Hypnotic track. Creativity is an elusive beast, sometimes I have no idea where 'inspiration' comes from.
Favourited!

Thank you guys! Next year, I am planning on revisiting tracks. However I almost wonder if the brevity isn't a good thing - I was thinking about it in terms of a miniature piece that's rather condensed. Even the lyrics are short. That's because I didn't have time and it was really late - but then I also wonder if that's not a good thing. So your feedback is welcome - I wasn't sure about the length myself.

Thank you Sir Lyons!

That's... fitting as usual. You should be a visual artist too... oh wait :-)

This is lovely. Really pretty. And as always I love hearing you sing in German.

I'm not entirely convinced about the expansion that others have mentioned. To me it feels like a prelude to another piece, rather than needing expansion in its own right.

Also, regarding netlabels, your output for the year has been quite varied, so it's hard to point to one that would do good for you. But have a look here: http://cerebralrift.org/2014/07/15/10-netlabels-to-follow/, not sure if any would suit though. I honestly don't know many netlabels, but I'm keeping an eye out!

Wundervolle Aufnahme, tolle Dopplung der Vocals, eingängige Melodie. Du schaffst es großartig, deine Stimmung zu transportieren.

Thank you man! Like I said, I'm not sure about the length... something that WB taught me, perhaps, is that sometimes short is OK. On the other hand, I can see expanding this, too.

Thank you for the netlabel link. I was mainly asking in case you had a "Oh of course" response -- especially in non-German speaking countries, it might be that there is a place for Euro-songwriting. Labels, compilations, heck, festivals, whatever. I appreciate you looking into it!

Dankeschoen! Gruss nach Muenchen!

I like this piece as a short one--it feels like it could be a great mood-changer between two longer pieces. Very pretty, and moving.  (Good luck with your son!  Parenting is a heck of a journey!)
