beepo (preset improvisation)

By colorful grey on February 13, 2016 1:35 am

So this week, I had two tracks -- one 16th century and one of my own. I posted the latter. This is a short improvisation over one of Reaktor 6's Blocks presets, "Beepo." I kinda just thought it would be neat.

Very lush. The guitar can't be a synth can it? I can almost hear you're hand moving across the fret. Expressive; good improvisation; nice mixdown. Everything seems to sit where it belongs. It's nice to hear something more melodic once in a while. I'll have to experiment with this idea.

soothing, open space. like this very much. thanks!

Right, no, you're hearing correctly, that's me playing the lute :-) Glad you like it!

Thanks dude! I always admire your use of space, in fact. Curious to hear your track this week.

I like how the lute and Beepo contrast each other.  The past meets the future smile Nice job!

Still has a renaissance feel; must be in your fingers by now.

I think your trip to the past is giving nice results, because you're now bringing new (old) languages to start a dialogue between two worlds.

Some moments of this song will work wonders if looped, into a more Berlin-School direction. Interested?

Looking forward to your next pieces bringing Reaktor and the lute together

Absolutely loving your sense of space and timing.  The synth's consistency is such a great counterpoint to the living, breathing lute!!

Gorgeous dude, I'll always love the rich quality of the lute. The combination of the ambient electronic preset and melodic improvisation blend so harmoniously.

I think our album for next year starts to come together! A dialog between lute and electronic sounds like a really good plan...

Ooooh... lovely.

Beepo

Very enjoyable!

I take that as a compliment. I mean, that's what I'm working on -- getting a feel/groove in my fingers. I've been listening to mostly lute recently, too, so I guess that may show.

Dude, I'm always interested in cooperation. Loop away whenever you want to. Thanks for listening.

Hoping you get well very soon, man. Best wishes

I wonder if youve gone to the bards college in solitude....
