Discovery

A friend came to visit so I had even less time than usual but I was able to start this in between some going around the city, nothing too polished this week just riding on the vibe of piano and atmospheric, I hope you'll like it!!

Render straight from the m8

The sound design is excellent! Not sure I'd call this 'chill' like your tags suggest with that bass sound...but that bass sound is cool. The sporadic piano notes in the second half feel a bit disjointed to me. Maybe they need even more reverb to make them linger longer and flow into each other. I think you've got all the ingredients for a splendid tune, though I do feel it could use some further refinement. But I totally understand prioritizing spending time with your friend. Anyway, nicely done!

such a nice track. love the atmosphere the vocal provides - sounds very hopeful to me. also lovely gritty line with the glide bass and the arrangement is very effective. nice little extra element at the end. I dig and dug.

You know what's funny, yesterday after submitting my track,  I started a new one with the idea of a super intense strobe-light effect on pads ; using two distinct pads with different LFO speeds. It's nothing like your track but I guess the technical premise is kinda similar.

I really enjoyed your track; There's a real sense of travel, discovery,  and the state of well-being that follows. Just feels like a nice uplifting headspace.

Also, once again I'm impressed of how ''complete'' this sounds coming from an 8-track arrangement. Great use of adding / removing elements dynamically.

Very nice contrast between the wide open reverb pad parts and the beats.
Mix is super clean as always. Caught that upbeat feeling, sweet!

Rich and moody as always, that reverb has almost an 1980s production quality to it

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Is super appreciated smile I feel you for the piano, the note gets cutted too early I tried masking it with fxs but it wasn't enough. ahahah yeah you are right the bass is a little over the top heart

LFOs are great and one of the few things we have in the m8 to modulate based on tempo, which comes extremely handy when using samples and not wanting to worry about their baked bpm smile Can't wait to hear what you do with your track!!
The m8 is the best when it comes to limitations and makes me a little smarter on how to produce heart

Happy to hear that! Being used to more modern music is always nice to know it hits with a more vintage vibe sometimes, thanks a lot! heart
