spring comes slow then fast

This is perhaps the most "modular" jam I've ever uploaded!

I got a few hours this week, and instead of recording I organized my studio and re-patched my synths. Apparently I love organizing gear just as much as making music... Although maybe there's something to that? Something therapeutic? Akin to gardening. It feels safer than creating, and I get a "productive" feeling from it. Which I suppose is what I'm looking for, sometimes.

Anyway, once I got to the music there was a specific technique I wanted to try: using a cycling sampling register to hocket voices to a couple of different synths, giving that stereotypical "modular" sound. I also wanted to bring my bugbrand drm2 into the mix, as I've been considering selling it.

No longer thinking of selling it. It might still be my favorite kick voice. It sounds fantastic, dynamic, and it's just so playable and fun to tweak.

Thanks Bryan! Not all my stuff sounds like cats fighting in a metal garbage can!
