Really like that deep sound in the background that builds up like a wall of feedback for the track to rest on. I don't know what it is but I like it.
I really like the saturation. It's such gross overkill and it gives off all the right vibes because of it.

Exactly this. Gorgeous, that warm tense buzz like being too stoned.
I thought it was a guitar at first. Really lovely vibe between shoegaze and Daniel Lanois.
Nice guitar layers. It reminds me a little of Neil Young's sountrack for Dead Man. Is that an organ that lays at the bottom and adds further texture?

thank you! it's just general midi .mid track of tracy chapman's "fast car" being played at very slow bpm with some randomization. I turned off the midi drum tracks and built up my own with a kick, some noise and delay. The rest of it is just playing with overdrive, filters, resonance, feedback, and reverb

Thanks Devieus, License! Yep that's what I was going for! Plus this song for me has always felt so heavy (I think due to the xiu xiu cover they did back in like... 2003?) that I felt extending it into stoner/doom territory was only natural

Thank you! No guitars here, though! Just good ol' general midi... and some analog filtering, overdrive, delay and OTO BAM reverb
There was definitely a track in the .mid file that I assigned to an organ voice, good ear!
