Wrapped

My plan when I started this yearslong project was to stick to a style for 8 submissions at a time. So, this is the final submission in my "lofi beats" phase. I'm sure I'll be back to the format because it's pretty much my favorite, but for now...the first 8 are wrapped. I'll be putting these up on Bandcamp as BEETGARDEN01 later this week. Will post a link in the week 9 submission.

So, "Wrapped". I made a whole different song yesterday morning. It took me a while and I ended up putting a zillion effects on everything, which ended up as an absolute mess. I just didn't hear it when it was happening. I spun up a blank Live session to clear my mind a bit and ended up with "Wrapped", which is simple, short and I ended up liking quite a bit. Not much to say about it other than that. Process wise, I let Live handle the scale and I mashed some keys, then added some shaker samples and a hand crafted beat (by which I mean I took drum hit samples and arranged them by hand on the timeline rather than using a drum rack). I ran it through the mastering chain I've been using for the first 8 weeks and it sounded good so I kept it. The song that didn't make the cut will be in the "bonus" section of BEETGARDEN01. Seriously, it's a muddy mess. Total bummer.

Love that synth lead! Very BOC

Dig the groove regardless

I like the timbres you selected here and the parts are pretty promising, definitely worth developing into a complete track!
