This morning I opened up a tutorial for a Silent Hill type of song and attempted to follow it. It doesn't sound that scary, but maybe could be for the ending scene or credits.
I think if I'm gonna make anything truly horror sounding I probably need to go looking for some good samples to use. Or make some?

To make it sound a bit scarier, you might need to add some more pads or choir all along the track, and slightly detune it over time to make it creepier and dissonant.
