Artemis II

I think the Artemis II mission captivated a lot of people, and the communications and interviews from the crew seemed intent on reminding us of the possibilities that come from human ingenuity and collaboration, seeing the constructive side of humanity in a time where the destructive side is broadcast everywhere.

I saw a post on social media that said as kids, we were promised Star Trek future, and instead got Hunger Games future...but that this past week reminded us that Star Trek future still exists.

This weekly beats is a small tribute to steering ourselves towards Star Trek future.

That's a neat fill/lead in with the drums! Yeah it was nice having something to be positive about, I was in a meeting and someone even interrupted just to say the crew had landed safe which felt like something out of a movie and a bit surreal

Love it, I like the melody you bring in and how it layers with the song. It has some happy sci-fi vibes, which we need! Also quite otherworldly, which is cool. Nice work

Thanks! The drum lead-in was kind of last minute bc it sounded empty without it XD I agree, it was nice to have something happy and positive to watch in the news. I was traveling at the time, but I sat down and watched the re-entry because I felt like I needed to make sure they were safe.

Thank you! I originally had a 4 bar melody, then realized it was too repetitive so I made another 4 bar melody. Then I didn't want to write any more melody so I just layered the two somewhat randomly. If I go back and rework it maybe I'll spend more time on the melody since sometimes it still sounds a bit repetitive to me. But yeah, weekly beat hacks for when you're limited on time big_smile
