the egg is hatching

Goal at start:
Experiment with a bpm above 200.
Experiment with call and response more within each loop, and try to get at least one good counter melody in. Recently I’ve just been going for some kind of pad layer with a top melody with one instrument all the way through an 8 bar segment. This time I want to break up those melodies into a few more distinct parts within 8 bars.
End notes:
If you had asked two weeks ago to imagine what a song in 220 bpm would sound like, I probably would have imagined the sonic equivalent of a panic attack. If you had asked me to guess the bpm of the song I made this week I never would have guessed 220, or even 110. It would seem I still have a lot to learn when it comes to tempo. Also, the only reason I would choose 220 over 110 is because of how the piano roll in FL Studio works. In 110 I seem to not be able to program 16th notes the way I might normally if it was 220 and thus have to use the note chop tool. There is probably a setting to fix this but I haven't looked into it yet (though it's probably still easier to just set the bpm above 200).
Action plan for next week:
Again try to push for more dynamic layers, alternating sounds, and call and response within 8 bar segments, not just across longer 17 bar sections.
