Goal at start 3/17:
Use a reference song for kick drum placement and tempo. Get two extra practice sessions in before Friday.

I managed to get the extra practice sessions in for the first time. By Wednesday I had two different project files and was able to pick the one I wanted to follow through on (the first one had a better tempo and kick drum pattern which I used a reference for, but the other one I felt like I could finish faster).
Working on this song was kind of a blur and mostly consisted of me learning that oscillator sync exists and playing with that feature. I was also left with a sense that I really need to practice making melodies. I might need some kind of new paradigm or strategy there into order to make progress, though the answer is probably just more practice.
Action plan for next week:
Stay focused on the task of getting additional practice sessions in.
