Mangata

Sorry I've missed the last few weeks, life has been nuts.  I've spent 43 hours in airplanes this week (not even counting layovers), so at least I had some time to work on this track.  Still not complete though, want to do some cool chord changes at the end but need guitar/bass to do so.  Hope you like v1.

Mangata ("Moon road"):  A long road-like reflection of the moon on the water.

Lyrics:

Verse 1:

Take a step back and breath in
Didnt believe it when I seen it (what I was seeing)
The moons alive and bleeding
Into the water below

The changing of the seasons
Confronting all my reasons
Questioning all my decisions
For the path I’ve chose

Chorus:

And sometimes, when I get the timing right
I can walk the path laid on the water by the moonlight
And I know, if that if I sink below
That I’ll get dragged out with the current of the under toe

Verse 2:

Illumination lets you see in
To see the emptiness I’m feeling
These thoughts become so decieving
Yes I know

Chorus:

And sometimes, when I get the timing right
I can walk the path laid on the water by the moonlight
And I know, if that if I sink below
That I’ll get dragged out with the current of the under toe

Bridge:

Because its not only shadows cast
But there’s just somethings that light cant pass
It always feels just out of grasp

I know if I could just find the time
When the sun and the stars align
That everything would turn out fine

Even if the sounds are not all from that era, I don't know why but the opening dreamy lead reminds me of some super catchy 80's hits. I really like those vocals.

The pianos really supports well the song too.

Fun listen.

beautiful! great full song with a bridge, haven't heard many of those yet. synths are my fav part. I feel something missing after the bridge, but you did say you wanna do something to the end. thx for sharing!

You had me in the first 0.5 seconds. The instrumentals are so freakin smooth.
Who's vocals are those?

Absolutely stellar performance.
