Come On (Watch the Levels)

Hello Week 24!
This track was made using Music for the Playstation. It's a sample-based sequencer that packs a lotta punch! I immediately found myself in a deep house vibe with this one. Each pattern is monophonic so chords are a bit of a pain, luckily there is a "chord memory" function so I just ended up going with the classic minor chord movement. It's not possible to export anything obviously, so I hooked up my tape deck to the direct audio output of the Playstation, and recorded the whole track. Then I had to rip the tape somehow... I do not have an audio interface, and my laptop does not have a line-in jack. However, our old, old family laptop does have a line-in jack... So I had to dig it out, try to figure out the password, get everything connected, install Audacity, and then finally record it in... which was a success! Unfortunately however, I believe the heat from the old laptop due to its broken fan melted the belt in deck B of my tape deck, since I had placed it on top of the tape deck due to a lack of space in my workplace. Lesson learned... At least I had a fun time making this track!! Hope you enjoy it! smile

It might've cost a thing, but you can't argue with the crisp results.

I'm seeing Dance Dance Revolution arrows, so very very 90's. Great stuff, I dig
