Other than that persistent sensation of being watched, Mallory's journey to the Mystic's shop ended up being rather uneventful. Hopefully the woman at the heart of this strange den of oddments, test tubes, and charms can be of some assistance...

Instrumentation: Roland XV5080 (sitar, tuned bells), Korg X5DR (strings), Automat and Automat1beta softsynths (filtered noise swell and metallic bass at end), some EXS24 sampler stuff for all the percussion (original samples as well as some drum machine samples I got on a disk when I bought my Electribe ES-1), processed erhu, sine wave "calliope", Roland JP8080 (drone), guitar pedal feedback loop (harsh noise), and a filter from my modular running into the feedback loop for an additional noise track.

I had fun with this! I've never tried anything of the sort. I tried to keep the typical, video game "potion shop" vibe, but obscure any direct references to any specific real world locations since it's not as though this character would be from any recognizable human heritage explicitly.
I actually wrote another really long description of this scene before writing the song, as I did last week, but I didn't get to proof read it at all and I kinda like the ambiguity created by setting up a scene and not describing it. I'll either add more of the text later in the week or I'll just fill in the details leading up to the next scene for anyone that might happen to be at all actually invested in the story (^^

OOO made me want to play the arabian nights pinball table my fav

there are some amazing sounds in this, but being who i am, i want a big hip hop beat to come in on top of it smile. especially after things get isolated about 1/3 of the way in. awesome work with the Roland XV5080, i really want to try one of those now....

This is amazing, those drums really showed up out of nowhere.
