Multi, Unus

Back for week two! When approaching this week, my intention was to try to quickly identify what to work with using a visual. I tried scatter plotting various gear/techniques against how proficient if felt or frequently I used them. While that helped me hone in on somethings, but in the end I went, to quote what
"...fuck it goblin mode."
That led me to a Torso S4 I picked up not too long ago. I would not classify myself as a "sample person," so much so, that I don't even know what I mean by that, other than I don't have a lot of experience with creating my own samples and using them outside of sampled drums kits.
A while back, while learning modular with VCV Rack, I created a patch with clocked noise sources going into some filters. That sequenced with a little randomness and ratcheting provided a kind of "microsound" drum beat that I usually gravitate towards.
As this was the only non-factory sample on the S4, I decided I'd try to create a whole song from this single sample. This was hard, as you can hear from the song's main "beat", the sample was essentially all clicks. I leaned heavily on the S4's resonant filter, which can be very recognizable, but I decided to work with within the constraints I laid down.
That's where the title comes from, "Many, one" in latin because
If you made it to the end of this, or the song, thanks for listening and sorry for the length on both! I ran out of time to edit down the performance other than to come in under 16mb.
