Sunday Sanctuary

By Cakes on March 1, 2026 2:09 am

This was inspired by a Laura Medley electro set last Sunday morning. I tried to make electro but it ended up a tiny bit dubby after I had too much fun with the Cherry Audio Space Echo clone. This started as an 8 bar sketch in MPC One and got ported over to Logic for additional work. This is one I plan to revisit with a longer sequence at some point.

Fuck yes this is super tight with laser precision. Every part really tells you why its there and does exactly what you want it to... all that sounds silly when I type it out but I mean it all with envy, intention can be such a make or break crucial element in electronic music and everything here is expressing its intent perfectly. Definitely return to this one. With confidence that its all there for you to expand, its awesome.

This is killer so much echo goodness going on

That synth hits! Excellent job on this, I cant wait for the updated version! XD

This is brilliant. It sounds simple but getting to that point is the hard part.

Love the colossal delay haha, it's so good. This one is nice, sounds like the sanctuary is out by the rings of Saturn.

Head nodder, nice switch up on the bass total mood when the vox hits!

Damn this is so sick. Reminds me of Cygnus and CPU records stuff. Really dig the sound selection and vocal processing.

Instantly loving the electro feel especially from the opening percussion.  Oooh the bass at 1:15 so slick.  Excellent delay and reverb throughout.  This was awesome!

love it!! well done

This is awesome and so precise and intentional. Great stuff.

When I hear these minimal soundscapes with a hard beating beat, I know I'm in the right room.

Clever arrangement, love the overall flow. Really good use of minimalism. I really wish it would continue... I felt it needed another part and that the end is truly just a breakdown...
