Mankind

I got F# minor as a starting point from the dice, plus "mannaz" from the toy runes, and had already planned on switching this next trio of weeks to a more heavy / guitar oriented style. It came out kinda grunge at first, but I've been a little fixated on understanding harmonies so it got weird from there.

The final outcome is frustrating, because there were moments where it actually sounded rather cool, but then I got lost in the mix and probably didn't live up fully to the mantra of walking softly but carrying a big eraser.

Still, it's a far cry from when I joined this wonderful community and I attribute doing so to much of my progress, so cheers! smile

It does sound a little grunge at times, and is also reminescent of the late 90s alternative, maybe even in the indus territory. Headbanging on monday morning.

Yes heavy sound achieved!!! thank you

Damn, that is very punk! I like the nonchalant delivery of the vocals.

Fuck yes!!!

I had originally wanted to keep it pretty analog, but I read this comment when I was getting ready to start week 5 and thought to myself, that's what I should aim for with this batch smile
Thinking of switching to synthpop next to keep it fresh.
