Hello Hexen

By Caballo Corazón on February 11, 2024 10:37 pm

Hexen app + SmplTrek

This week I tested hexen app to learn something about modular synth. Recorded the different tracks on the smpltrek and tried to give it form playing with loops.

This is my hello world song with hexen.

Great start, no clue what goes into such a process but it sounds like you caught right on! I love the biological, bassy, fart-y sounds especially

Thanks for your comment! Yeah! I love farty sounds too big_smile

I've just uploaded an image of the setup I used in Hexen. It is an eurorack modular synth simulator.
I made the exercise of simplifying an example rack to understand what was going on inside. Then started over with a minimum of modules (drums, sequencer, chords + arpeggio) and added delay and distortions looking for sounds I liked.

I think I'll use it more in the future, it makes pretty decent sounds and I was stuck for hours playing with the controls...

Algunos pasajes me recordaron a la música de No Man's Sky. Interesante pieza!
