Tides of Whispering Frequencies

I started by creating some audio to be stretched by using a MIDI file on a set of software synths in Reason.

After bouncing the audio out, I went into Bitwig so I could use the plug-in Scaper. This was a test to see how it compared to my normal solution of PaulStretch. I was able to set up an output from the Scaper instance into an audio track, that I then recorded each bounced track through.

After getting the stretched files, I took them back into Reason for additional processing.

In Reason, I didn't add many effects, just using my Analog Heat, a couple of delays (A Ripley and an instance of The Echo) and an Audiomatic. I automated some mixing parameters, and then EQ'd. The only other addition was another Audiomatic (Set to the VHS setting) in the Master Insert Effects along with the Mastering combinator.

Great experiment and thanks for sharing the process. Really interesting and the end result is super cool too. Inspiring stuff!

I've been exploring this type of soundscape a lot lately, I'm super into how this sounds. Thanks for sharing!

Love how big and spacey this is.

Thanks for listening and commenting! I appreciate it!
