I decided to combine a couple of approaches I've been working with so far. So I made my stretching material in the M8 tracker, using the updated Macrosynth.

Afterwards, I went into Paulstretch and created a trio of renders, which I then further processed in Bitwig. In Bitwig, I used a variety of modulation, delays and reverbs to further enhance the sound.
