I recently got a FutureRetro Zillion and I wanted to try a generative sequence piece. I originally thought of using a Waldorf Rocket, but since there isn’t an Attack control for the envelope, I decided to an AudioThingies P6 as the sound source. While I was sequencing it with the FutureRetro Zillion, I experimented with altering the shift registers to effect the pattern.

To effect the sound signal, I used an EHX Deluxe Memory Boy into a Mr Black Supermoon Chrome, then into a Boss DD-5 and finally into an EHX Cathedral. I recorded this performance into a Zoom R16.

I took the recording into Reason, where I mixed and EQ’d the recording. For the master effects chain, I used a Crapre, an Audiomatic and a pair of RV7000s for stereo reverb.
