Another week, another VCV Rack experiment. I was reading a thread on Muff Wiggler about Eurorack modules that could be great Techno sequencers, and Turing Machine came up a few times. I remembered that VCV Rack had a Turing Machine module, so I started with that to create a patch. I also found a cool way of both monitoring and recording a patch with the CF Master module and the NSynthi Recorder module.
After recording the patch, I took the VCV recording into Audacity, where I split the audio tracks.
In Reason, I created a beat with Kong, which I sequenced with 3 Euclids. I separated out the Kick and High Hats tracks for processing. On the High Hats, I used a Decimort 2 on the Insert FX, while I used a Crapre on the Kick track's FX.
After adding the VCV tracks, I created a bassline with Grain, which was sequenced by a Matrix. For Insert FX, I used a DC-2 Chorus, a Spectre & an Audiomatic.
On the Main Mixer Insert FX, I used a Spectre and a LeSpace Combinator. After equalizing the tracks, I mixed the tracks live with a Panorama P1. For the Mastering FX, I used a Mastering Combinator.
