I went simple this week by just exploring Reason with some MIDI files I had on hand.

I started by picking a melodic MIDI and a chordal MIDI file. Once I did that, I duplicated the melodic track a couple of times. The main melodic track has additional delay and reverbs on it. The second is a more glitchy rhythmic track. The third ended up with a vocal synth.

On the mixer, I used a pair of reverbs and a pair of delays as Mixer insert effects. I used a simple mastering chain to warm up the track a bit.

I got the feeling of driving through a snow fall from this track. Especially at night, where the snow interacts with the different lights as you drive by.
