the nondeterminist's strut (KORG DS-10)

By bryface on February 23, 2014 11:58 pm

started on this last night.  i haven't done a DS-10 jam in ages!  it's just like riding one of those wheeled transportation devices that i forget.  just having fun with dark grooves and stuff, as well as putting to practice some insights i gleaned while hanging out with DS-10 bro HarleyLikesMusic in japan back in september.  i'll throw in a better ending once i think of one.

FACTOID TIME the melody for whole first part is controlled partly by a sample-and-hold generator fed into the pitch.  as such, it plays differently every time!

btw, a few years ago i released an entire full-length album of DS-10 tunes if you're interested in hearing more:

Creepy melody, interesting technique you described, and that beat is pure filth! Can't believe it's all DS10...I'll be checking out your album Sir!

Solid groove and nice gritty sounds

middle to the end was especially craaaazy
