i bought a Novation Launchkey mini a couple of months ago, but i never had a chance to really put it through its paces.  i tried setting it up in ableton, which seems to work well, until i realized i honestly have no idea how to use ableton lol.

so instead, i just opened up reaper and tried my best mosaik/malmen impression using only instances of Synth1 VST.  i only really had a chance to use the launchkey mini as a glorified midi keyboard.  the keys are not bad, pretty cramped because of the small form factor but it otherwise makes for a decent portable keyboard to noodle ideas onto while at a coffee shop.  (that's actually where i am while i'm writing this).
