UBER SHORT TUNE this week, what can i say, just one of those ultra busy weekends.  hey, maybe you'll encounter one of those too!!  not likely.  *cough*

anyway, just trying to get more comfortable with famitracker, as i've only toyed around with it on and off and hadn't gotten used to the workflow yet.  started 2 hours before this week's deadline, so no expectations about progressions or anything, just focusing on the groove + sound design + texture to see if i could get a satisfying summery pop sound.

i like where this is going though and i'm quite happy with the overall sound, so i'm flagging this tune as one to expand on in the future.

I like arps in the middle quite a lot. Would be great to hear completed version someday

Really engaging.  Totally worth developing, and a very enjoyable summery synth track.

Tight groove

hah, diggin' the arps in there, too. Quite a nice result for such low amount of time!!

Yeah, give this one more time later. Really dig the bass runs.

whoa yeah those bass sounds/runs are super funky. I love those wild arps too. I would love to see the tracker file for this if you're willing to share smile

Sounds lile a lovely future NES dsummer demo. Picturing hot miami babes roller blading while wearing neon green knee pads and power gloves on one hand

couldnt place (i'm working off just 4 hours of sleep this time) but the bassline sounded off to me. maybe because the saw sound has an undertone that's detuned? i dont know, maybe i am just crazy

Solid bass groove!

I'd pump this in my car with windows down in the summer.

perhaps in the near future - i'm working on a more fleshed out version of this for a compo so the .FTM's back in a state of limbo =P

AHAHHA that's really close to the actual imagery i had in my mind while writing this - maybe a music video is in order.

Yes please! Love these bitsize (I meant to type 'bitesize', but this works so much better) chunks - very tasty indeed
