confide (Helm, Serum, buncha drum samples)

not much time this week so here's some hardcore sentimental pop. The bulk of time was spent learning the Helm VST and crafting the lead sound from scratch for the first melody (and spent an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out why certain frequencies were totally running away from me and clipping like mad).
Most of the melodies were recorded live with a bit of tweaking/quantizing afterward - been wanting to improve my keyboard chops and i'm somehow still short of being able to jam out melodies confidently, so one of my goals this year is to close that gap as much as possible.
Also thought i'd start getting acquainted with some of the drum samples i've had sitting around. didn't have a lot of time for more complex instrumentation otherwise.
