because reasons (reason)

here's my first attempt at using reason from about 3 or 4 years back.  it was really more of a test of reason's various features and overall workflow.  doesn't go much of anywhere but i thought i'd revisit it and polish it up in a few places and release it in some form.

the note data was entered using a variety of methods: pecking with the mouse + keyboard; MIDI keyboard for live solo takes; AKAI LPD8 for live drum programming; live parameter automation with midi controller knob assignments; pattern matrix rack device, etc etc.  as far as the rack devices goes, it basically consisted of a bunch of instances of subtractor and thor, plus a bunch of delays/reverbs and what probably is the default redrum soundbank.

have i mentioned that i basically hate using most DAWs in general?  so imprecise.  also, i exploded my brain trying to make heads and tails of all the wiring in the song's Rack Rear View after not having touched the song in a few years.  still, can't help but admit that there's something about reason's audio engine that makes electronica tracks sound good really easily, though i can't really put my finger on it...
