Song for Joy #27

By brian botkiller on July 8, 2018 11:21 pm

Damn, 27 weeks. Coming along.

One thing I love about Joy is that she's always introducing me to new music. There's a lot of "weird" production in a lot of modern music, I find -- usage of strange sounds, pitch shifting, etc, so I am using some more of that as of late, having learned from music she's introduced me to.

This one is a long jam, I'm just super into unstructured, long ambient pads and shit. Just something I love.

Ableton/Arturia Analog Lab/Push 2/Studio One 4

Ambient and wavey. Love those pads, and the drums are so well done heart

So ambient, i'm like totally chilling out. It ain't weird if it sounds good, an this is one is such a soulful track! #favorited!

Excellent, compelling percussion--particularly liking that repitching that you're doing.  Solid yet ambient groove, and those pads add mystery and atmosphere.

Joy must be pretty awesome to be inspiring all this great work!  Tell her I'm a fan!

Loving all the melted metallic shifts.
