Song for Joy #18

By brian botkiller on May 6, 2018 9:54 pm

We were in New York last week, and going there is always very pivotal for us. It always spurs up things that we haven't been able to focus on, gives us focus, and of course, shakes loose all kinds of shit. We were performing at a Nerdlesque festival on Coney island, so it was really cool to be able to say we did that. The trip was SUPER fast, though -- it felt like we were there for so little time, even though it was almost a week. I love going to NYC, my brother lives there, and going with Joy just makes it even better.

This song uses some sampled bits from riding the subway, and other NYC sounds. Sort of droney MNML goodness.

lovely!

Totally vibing with that kick and hi hat pattern. The synths are nice and lush too.

congrats on the show!  the track is a nice reflection of the nightlife/hustle and bustle electricity of the city.
