Ooo Ah

I had no idea what I set out to do this week when I went into it, and then I made this oddball. I actually really love how it came out. The breaks, well, I wish I could take credit for those, but they're KJ Sawka. I can't really play the drums right now due to physical issues, but these were excellent for the second movement in the song. The arrangement was improvised on the fly using Push 2 in Ableton Live.

Side note, Ableton Live 11 performs a hell of a lot better on Windows 11 than the previous version.

I dropped a lot of beat repeat onto the drum breaks, however, and tweaked them in real time.

I love Drum n' Bass, so I'm glad I'm making a little more of it.

tribal dnb?  i'm into it.  i loooooove beat repeat so much.

great vocals at 3:05

the xylophone at the end is really nice

GOOD STUFF MUH BOTKILLA

This is not really drum and bass in my opinion, but it definitely is something cool! The 1st half sounds exactly like you would hear today on some cutting edge lo-fi station on the internet, and the monotonous rhythmic pad stabbing the same note is what is making this track for me. Some of the vocal samples are kind of not in tune, but this probably adds even more magic to the track. You are definitely doing something really right!
All FSoL and Hype Williams vibes and I like it. smile

really cool setup in this one. the intro and xylo parts give me some Tom Waits vibes?? nice work

This is sweet dude!  Lots of wild sounds in here, definitely right up my alley.  Love the energy when the drums (kit) comes in.

This intro reminds me of some Tom Waits songs, from Real Gone era. Haha yes for KJ Sawka, I use his samples as well, so much cool grooves, really powerful sounds. I used to feel kinda guilty about not programming the drums but hey, patchwork is also a form of music. smile  Super cool track, I like how you arranged it all.
