Topography & Statistics

By Breakmagos on March 23, 2014 4:35 pm

Chilled out Trip-Hop noise track. Named after the earliest known British Military Intelligence department, formed in the Boer War.

Ah yes, the Boer War: the first concentration camps ("Thou shalt not kill/but need not strive/officiously, to keep alive")

Unnerving.

To be fair the Boer War isn't really relevant to the tune. It's mainly about a Victorian Sci-fi wargame I play called In Her Majesty's Name. It's a game about gangs of shadowy operatives fighting skirmishes on behalf of the great powers. My gang is based loosely on James Bond and I needed the name of an early analogue of MI5. Therefore my gang is The Department Of Topography & Statistics.

Great vibe and sounds, it has a strong industrial feel to me. Great work!
