Just a little percussion patch walked through through some variations.

Nice tones--great impact.

Currently on pt2 of I Dream Of Wires, know it's going to turn out expensive for me...you're not helping wink

Nice patch.
Would be cool if you explained how it was done. Not in every detail, just that the ones who are interested can get an idea. Maybe next week?

Thanks- yeah, ok lemme think what I did here... So on this that main timbre I'm using a malekko anti-oscillator's 'mayhem' output which is a kinf od squiggly square which does wavefolding. That is folded on itself a bit, and then the oscillator has linear fm going on, being fm'd from a sine from a diy'd buchla 258's sine. That is being sent to a malekko borg 2 low pass gate. A low pass gate is a kind of combination of filter and vca, it has a distinct sound in that it has a decay of its own because it uses vactrols, which are a kind of variable resistor which open and close based on an led light, so it has a tail - like if you turn a light off and watch the light filament ramp down, that happens with sound. It has a cool organic sound that results in almost a of reverbish kind of thing on an instrument cavity level. So like in this patch, the envelope (malekko envelator) is a just a quick little pulse, like 10ms, but instead of being a 'snick' like a normal vca you get like a drum kind of decay as the low pass gate takes a sec to ramp down.  So then I I've got a makenoise pressure points that is being run through a switch, that is controlling pitch on the oscillators which I am manually diddling by switching from one note to the next. They rhythm are being controlled by a 4ms rotating clock dividers various outsputs, which are being rotated by a noisering I'm controlling with a choices joystick. The whole shabang is going through an eventide timefactor. Prolly a few other things going on in the patch, but that's the main stuff.

Cool stuff. Kudos on the explanation BTW.

Thanks Brandon. Very interesting, especially your description of the lpg. I'm not a modular user yet, maybe someday smile

Lol!  So far, I've resisted the pull but I agree with the sentiment.
