The Itch (feat. ULA)

Sooo I took a big break from music and most audio production work around the holidays because I caught COVID, had dental surgery, then spent Christmas and New Year's time with family and fiance. I wanted a big break to reset, to rest my ears and be completely refreshed.
Well... after about 2+ weeks of not doing any music (barely even listening to music), I started to get "The Itch" ..... you know, that feeling that you just want to rock out. Any music would set me off dancing, every musical piece sounded like a grammy. I was jamming out and dancing to even the most pathetic tunes.
This was a great learning experience. To take a break when it is needed. To really reset.
This tune is with my collaborator Denis. We did a few weeklys back in 2020 together and have since started our own duo. He finally got his studio set up in his new house. This song is composed of synths and bass from his Juno keyboard. I got the itch to play and flip some modulations as we recorded. Most of this stuff is first take, but boy damn is it fun to just mess with the synth parameters as you go...not trying to "compose" something, just playing.
Enjoy!
